Horizon Forbidden West features a larger overworld; set to release in 2021
Sony Interactive Entertainment and Guerrilla Games has posted a new video for Horizon Forbidden West, where game director Mathijs de Jonge discusses what players can expect for the sequel.
In the video, de Jonge offers a few new details for the action RPG. The open-world will not only be 'a bit bigger' than its predecessor, but also allow players to do some exploration underwater in lakes and rivers. Using the architecture of the PlayStation 5 to the fullest, Guerrilla promises minimal loading screens for the game, even boasting how you can fast travel from one end of the map to the other nearly instantly.
Of course, the Forbidden West harbors new dangers for Aloy, such as the mammoth-like Tremor Tusk monster. New tribes also inhabit the region, both peaceful and hostile. de Jonge also reveals the game is aiming for a 2021 release on PlayStation 5.
