Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Elemental Sac Drops: How to grind each Elemental Sac material
A Monster Hunter mainstay, longtime players should be well-aware that monsters with a specific elemental or status affinity are likely to drop Sacs associated with those same statuses - and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is no exception. More often than not, these specific items are required to craft armor and weapons associated with these ailments, to boot. While it's easy enough to make a specific guess here and there about which monsters might drop which Sac during hunts, it's certainly not a surefire way to ensure you're getting the materials you need. Thankfully, we've got you covered, and we've put together a list of exactly which monsters will drop which Elemental Sac - as well as what the Low, High and Master Rank versions of each Sac are actually called.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Elemental Sacs
Poison Sac Monsters
While Low Rank poison-affiliated monsters will drop Poison Sacs, High Rank sees things shift to Toxin Sacs, and Master Rank to Deadly Poison Sacs. The monsters that can drop these are as follows:
- Great Wroggi
- Pukei-Pukei
- Basarios
Paralysis Sac Monsters
Bafflingly enough, the only monster to drop Paralysis Sacs - and the High Rank and Master Rank equivalents in Omniplegia Sacs and Ultraplegia Sacs - is Volvidon.
Sleep Sac Monsters
Similarly, the only monster to drop Sleep Sacs, High Rank's Coma Sacs, and Master Rank's Torpor Sacs is Great Baggi.
Flame Sac Monsters
Thankfully, as far as Flame Sacs and their higher-rank equivalents - Inferno Sacs for High Rank and Conflagrant Sacs for Master Rank - players have many more options at their disposal than Sleep and Paralysis Sacs:
- Aknosom
- Basarios
- Anjanath
- Rathian
- Rathalos
Electro Sac Monsters
While there aren't quite as many options as with Flame Sacs, players can grind out Electro Sacs, High Rank Thunder Sacs, and Master Rank Lightning Sacs from multiple monsters:
- Tobi-Kadachi
- Khezu
Aqua Sac Monsters
When it comes to Aqua Sacs, there's a small wrinkle regarding which monsters can drop it - players certainly have options, but with Jyuratodus only appearing in High and Master Rank, you'll only be able to collect Torrent Sacs and Flood Sacs from hunting them:
- Royal Ludroth
- Tetranadon
- Jyuratodus (High and Master Rank only)
Frost Sac Monsters
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak ended up adding exactly one monster that can drop Elemental Sacs; that doesn't impact which monsters will drop Frost Sacs, or High Rank's Freezer Sacs, but it does mean that Master Rank's Cryo Sacs leave players with plenty of options:
- Barioth
- Goss Harag
- Aurora Somnacanth (Master Rank only)
Knowing which monsters can drop which Elemental Sac is, of course, only half the battle - even if the drop rate for these materials is relatively high, that's still no guarantee that you'll get what you need in one, two, or even three hunts. Even if it might take you a while to gather everything you need for your next weapon or armor upgrade, best of luck with grinding them out!
