Avowed: All Fragments of Starmetal Locations for 'Forged of Star-Stuff' Quest
Early on while exploring Dawnshore in Avowed, players are likely to find a conspicuously placed Fragment of Starmetal, kicking off the quest 'Forged of Star-Stuff'. While this quest can be started in the few few hours of the game, it requires traveling to Solace Keep in the game's last region in order to complete the quest. Along the way, players may find additional starmetal fragments in each region.
In this guide, we'll tell you where to find every Fragment of Starmetal in Avowed, as well as detail all quest rewards for completing the Forged of Star-Stuff side quest.

Dawnshore Starmetal Fragment
At Godless Altar east of Paradis, you can find Fragment of Starmetal placed on the altar itself.
Emerald Stair Starmetal Fragment
Find another Fragment of Starmetal at Damp Burrow. This will be the same location you'll fight Iscern the troll boss..
Shatterscarp Starmetal Fragment
Near the top southeast side of the Abandoned Mine in Shatterscarp is another Fragment of Starmetal.
Once you see the opening to the cave, follow the path to the left to find a path to the top area of the mine and the fragment.
Galawain’s Tusks Starmetal Fragment
Find the Fragment of Starmetal in Ash Forest. This one will be easy to sport because picking up the starmetal is what will trigger the Destul bounty fight.
Forged of Star-Stuff Quest
The quest 'Forged of Star-Stuff' will be logged in your journal as soon as you find your first piece of starmetal. However, you won't immediately know where to take the material to in order to use it.
You can speak to different weapon merchants in each area to learn a little bit about where you are supposed to go. If you take it to Valtur in Claviger’s Landing, he’ll point you to Gweneth in Paradis. Gweneth herself will point you to Solace Keep, a city in Galawain's Tusk, which is the last region of the game. Merchants in Fior and Thirdborn such as Stephan and Kampeki will also give you similar information
Once talk to Forgemaster Dela at Solace Keep, he’ll finally offer to make a sword or an arquebus. These are the only two options. Once you provide him extra starmetal, he'll offer to upgrade each weapon once each. Once you provide all four available Fragments of Starmetal to have Dela craft and upgrade each weapon, the quest will be marked complete.
- Sword = Meteor Blade. Provide another starmetal to upgrade to Ondra’s Offense
- Arquebus = Moonstrike. Provide another starmetal to upgrade to Heavenstrike.
Meteor Blade / Ondra’s Offense
- Sword: One-Handed Melee
- Quality: Legendary
- Lamenting Flurry - A Full Combo Attack gives the hit enemy -20% Damage for 15 seconds
- Crashing Tide - A Full Combo Attack gives the hit enemy -40% Damage for 15 seconds
- Tidecaller’s Revenge - A Successful Part Deals high Stun and Frost Accumulation to nearby enemies
- Freezing Lash - Hits deal +10% bonus Frost Damage
Moonstrike / Heavenstrike
- Rifle: Two-Handed Range
- Quality: Legendary
- Ondra’s Storm - Power Attacks deal moderate Frost Accumulation to nearby enemies
- Ondra’s Anger - Power Attacks deal high Frost Accumulation to nearby enemies
- Lunar Champion - Killing an enemy give you +5% Damage Reduction for 10 seconds
- Freezing Lash - Hits deal +10% bonus Frost Damage
