Pokemon Black & White 2 Announced, Release Window Revealed
Nintendo and Game Freak have announced that two new core Pokémon titles will hit store shelves this year - Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 for the Nintendo DS.
Set to arrive in Japan in June and in Europe and North America in the Fall, the games are the first direct sequels in the main-line series, actively continuing with plot lines and characters established in the previous game. It even seems like there won't be the usual slew of new Pokémon included.
Pokémon Black and White passed 1 million units sold in the first 10 days, and Nintendo will be looking to build on that success with the sequel. Nintendo 3DS owners will still be able to play the game in 2D on their machines, but the game is designed for the regular old DS family.
Nintendo has also released an image of Black and White forms of Kyurem that'll be gracing the box of the game, which can now be found in a teaser on the official Pokémon website or below.
