Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition rides to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 15

Originally developed by Vigil Games and now through Gunfire Games & publisher THQ Nordic, Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition  will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 15. The Darksiders YouTube account explicitly noted that this is not in reference to the new untitled Darksiders project announced last month in the description of its announcement trailer.

Some of the enhancements that PS5 and Xbox Series players can expect from this new release of Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition include support for "4K resolution, ray tracing, and enhanced lighting and shadows", along with additional support for PS5's DualSense controller.

They also emphasized that the game's loading times have "drastically improved" due to the SSDs in the current generation for console hardware.

This new re-release of Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition will be sold at $29.99 / €29.99, but those that pre-order it on PS5 by October 14 will receive a 50% discount; If you already have Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition on PS4, you will also get a free upgrade to the PS4 version when it launches.

Xbox players can currently buy the title at 50% off right now until October 14 and it supports Smart Delivery that will unlock the Xbox Series version immediately when it launches.
