Octopath Traveler series surpasses 5 million units sold

Square Enix has announced that the combined sales of Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II have surpassed 5 million units worldwide.

Square Enix previously announced that the original Octopath Traveler had hit 3 million units as of September 2022 (when the sequel was announced). Octopath Traveler II was previously stated to be at 1 million units sold as of June 2023. Since then, the games have been made available on new platforms (original Octopath to PS4, sequel to Xbox).

To commemorate the milestone, Square Enix shared a new artwork by artist Rika Okazaki.
