Each support character will now have their own Rank, which can be leveled up by gathering experience points from frequently using their assists.

The game's key staff members also revealed more details about the game during a talk show segment in the stream. SRW Y will be powered by a new game engine different from previous series entries, and it will also have a brand-new menu interface design. The pre-battle menu will now notably show expected damage values from attacks, so players can more precisely determine the attacks and Spirit Commands they must use to ensure the enemy's destruction.

In addition, the stream shows that the Tactical Area Selection feature from SRW 30, where players can check the exact locations of missions, will return in SRW Y. However, the team will also add a new Mission Chart that shows the exact flows of the story and side missions.
