The A16 project has been revealed as Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea
The new issue of Dengeki PlayStation is out in Japan, and as promised it contains some more information about the new Atelier title. Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea offers two protagonists to choose from:
Sharistella, on the right, is the character we've already seen in GUST's teaser trailer. She apparently hails from a family that is tasked with protecting an ancient relic. Her hometown is in peril of disappearing, and she of course is trying to find a way to save it.
Charlotte, the green haired woman on the left, inherited her father's alchemy workshop upon his death. However, she doesn't have much along the lines of alchemy skills, but she tries to keep the shop open anyway, making her look like a bit of a fraud.
Atelier Shari is named as such because both of the characters can shorten their name to "Shallie". Also, the game will feature a bit of a different system, called the Life Tasks system. Characters will complete certain alchemic, battle-based, and exploration tasks to further the story. Whether these Life Tasks will have a time limit like Assignments or not is still unknown.
The new Atelier title will be released in Japan on June 26th, and there will be a special Premium Box version of the title will be available for purchase.
