Six years ago on Christmas Day in 2008, AQ Interactive announced alongside their partner Mistwalker that their upcoming RPG that was in development for the Xbox 360 with the help of Cavia, Cry On, would be canceled, citing the poor global economic conditions at the time and uncertain franchise potential of the game.
It would appear that Hironobu Sakaguchi may have recently acquired the rights to the property as he posted the nearly-four minute original concept trailer shown during the initial screening at the project's announcement on his Youtube channel for RPG fans to mourn the loss of as the legendary game designer said that he has no plans on revisiting the property, though supposedly the monsters from the game appear in his mobile game, Terra Battle.
