Final Fantasy IX is coming to PC and Smartphones

Square Enix looks to start the new year off right with the announcement that Final Fantasy IX will be coming to PC and smartphones. Square Enix Japan announced that at some point in 2016 the game will be making its way to the aforementioned platforms. While there has not been any word on a western release for this port, it pretty much a guarantee given all the other Final Fantasy PC and mobile ports have come to the west.

The port appears to feature several small changes to the game including high resolution character models, achievements, high speed mode, auto save functionality, and a new UI for battle. You can check out some of these changes in the video below.
