EA open to the idea of delaying Mass Effect: Andromeda if it makes the game better
An unfortunately common practice in the games industry these days is seeing major titles come out long before they are ready. Thankfully in more recent times developers and publishers seem to be more open to the idea of pushing a release date in order for a more polished experience. In a recent chat with Gamespot, EA's CFO Blake Jorgensen said they are not opposed to the idea with Mass Effect: Andromeda.
"The game looks beautiful. And we're really pleased with its progress. However, as you've seen, we are willing to make moves in launch dates if we feel it's necessary to deliver the right player experience."
We will be crystal clear here and say this does not mean Mass Effect: Andromeda will get delayed, nor is this a formal announcement. Only that EA is not against the idea of delaying the game if it truly needs it. Jorgensen then went on to say that Bioware could delay the game up to 5 months with EA's blessing if need be. Right now the game is slated for a March 2017 release, and will likely come out then. It is nice to see though that EA will not rush the game out the door unnecessarily though.
Either way, we are only 5 days out from N7 day and will finally see a bunch more from this highly anticipated RPG!
